The Malta Experience

Between September 23rd and September 29th 2017 a rather precious group consisting of 7B and 7C students, all ladies, set off to Malta spending their English language week in St. Julians with their class teachers, Ms Sandra Markovsky and Ms Christine Mitterweissacher.

After coping with some ‘train - flight challenges’ on arrival we were taken to the city, meeting the host families for the first time. Luckily, there was nothing to be afraid of. We had a good week with the Maltese families and enjoyed marvellous meals.

In addition to that, there were our classes at ‘ACE English Malta’. The building is very stylish, the school manager Ian Duncan very professionally accompanied us throughout the week in his charming way, and the eager and friendly teachers designed enhancing classes. Thus, we had many good conversations and discussions improving our English.

Apart from training our English skills, we also went on glorious trips and saw many impressive places and sights on Malta and Gozo. Some of the highlights were St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta, the Blue Grotto, Mdina and Rabat, and the UNESCO-listed megalithic Hagar Quim Temple. Of course, our St Julians beach was one of our points of attraction, as we spent nice cosy evening chats at the sea there. Naturally, we went swimming, too.

Finally, we can say, we DID enjoy ‘the Malta Experience’! Our horizon is broadened, our English has improved, we will cherish our memories.
