In our year 4 student’s book we read a very exciting ‘locked room’ mystery. We got so fascinated by crime stories, we decided to invent our own ones.
As our English group loves acting, we organised groups of 6 or 7 students and started creating our mysteries. We then rehearsed so we could present our twin 4a English group with our stories. We were quite excited to perform in front of this eager and friendly audience, who after watching the little plays had to guess the murderers. This was good fun and very gripping.
Our young detective spectators very cleverly investigated and they did jump to the right conclusions quite quickly. It was enjoyable to speculate and to question the actors, and it was exciting to discuss the solutions. Most of all, we had a great time performing our stories and our English in class!
